Module learning outcomes

Demonstrate a critical and in-depth knowledge of financial law, regulation and governance both from a
theoretical and practical standpoint

Critically evaluate the vital theoretical issues, legislation, case law and principles which govern financial law and their interaction with global financial markets

Critically assess new developments in financial law and the role that private and public law play in the
operation of the financial markets and the financial system

Develop a systematic and conceptual understanding of the nature and techniques of judicial practice in
financial and securities litigation

Develop an increasingly complex understanding of the changing landscape of financial markets and financial regulation
