Elections 2025
The Governance Team will be running eight elections for 2025 as follows;
Council X3 elections:
X1 Professional Services Representative to Council.
X1 Academic Representative to Council.
X1 Postgraduate Researcher Representative to Council.
Senate X5 elections:
X4 Academic Representatives for the Faculty of Social Sciences to Senate.
X2 Academic Representatives for the Faculty of Science, Engineering & Medicine to Senate.
X1 Academic Representative for the Faculty of Media, Arts & Humanities to Senate.
X1 Academic Representative for the ßÏßÏÊÓÆµ Business School to Senate.
X1 Professional Services Representative to Senate.

Election procedure
The first step is the nomination of candidates and nominations forms can be found within the table below for each of the elections. Nominators should check that their nominee is willing and eligible to serve. Self-nomination is permissible.
Completed nominations forms must be returned to lg476@sussex.ac.uk by Midday on Friday 23rd May 2025.
Each Nomination Form received will be acknowledged. Where there are more nominees than places, a ballot will be held.
All staff eligible to vote will receive an email in the week commencing 9 June 2025, providing details of nominees and instruction on how to vote electronically.
Voting will take place between 9 June and 20 June 2025, with results due w/c 23 June 2025. We work with the Electoral Reform Society (Civica) to manage voting externally and confidentially.
