All about Africa

The ßÏßÏÊÓƵ Africa Centre builds on the ßÏßÏÊÓƵ’s long history of engagement with the African continent through:

Interdisciplinary research

We bring together expertise from the social sciences, environmental sciences, humanities, Brighton and ßÏßÏÊÓƵ Medical School and the Institute of Development Studies.

International partnerships

We have strong partnerships with organisations across Africa and regularly welcome African scholars to speak at Sussex.

We engage not only with the African continent but also African diasporic communities in the UK and elsewhere.
