Biography

I am a higher education practitioner and curriculum specialist with experience across English for Academic Purposes (EAP), English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Modern Foreign Languages (including Spanish), and interdisciplinary areas such as social sciences and digital education. I have worked with students across Europe, Latin America and the United States, bringing a strong international perspective to my work in higher education.

My background includes leading and contributing to large-scale academic provision within international higher education, working with multidisciplinary teams to support student progression, programme quality, and inclusive learning environments. I have a particular focus on embedding academic and employability skills within the curriculum, supporting students to develop the confidence and competencies needed for success in higher education and beyond.

Alongside this, I have undertaken academic consultancy and contributed to curriculum development across international contexts, including work with schools, institutions, and publishers. I am also a published textbook writer and have developed content for language learning applications, with a particular interest in curriculum design, localisation, and digital learning.

My professional interests include inclusive, student-centred approaches to higher education, particularly supporting international students, as well as quality assurance, internationalisation, and the ethical integration of AI in teaching and assessment. I am a Fellow of the Society for Education and Training and a member of the Education and Training Foundation’s Practitioner Advisory Group.
