Role
As a Communications Officer at ßÏßÏÊÓƵ, I work strategically to support the delivery of communications plans across internal and external channels, producing high-quality, engaging content for websites, newsletters, social media, and campaigns, including news stories and short videos.
Collaborating with academic and professional services teams, I translate complex information into accessible narratives that promote research, student voice, and University priorities. I manage digital content and campaigns to ensure a consistent tone of voice, while advising on social media, accessibility, and branding, and delivering training to support best practice. Through this work, I engage diverse audiences including students, staff, partners, and the wider public – supporting recruitment objectives and strengthening the University’s reputation.
Prior to my current role, I worked within the University’s central Internal Communications team as a Senior Change Communications Officer, partnering with senior stakeholders across multiple divisions. I led communications for key estates and catering procurement initiatives and played a central role in major projects, including campus developments and the rollout of new systems such as Paperless Parking.
Previously, I gained experience working as an Information Coordinator (Communications), UG Placements Coordinator, Alumni Relations Assistant, and Alumni Relations Graduate Intern.
At ßÏßÏÊÓƵ, I achieved two promotions and two Discretionary Pay awards. I was also nominated for a ßÏßÏÊÓƵ Education Award in 2024.
Outside ßÏßÏÊÓƵ, I worked as a Freelance Content Creator, writing articles for Brighton Source, City Girl Network Limited, Revival Collective, and Native.fm. I also worked as an Employment Screening Researcher, EC English Activity Leader and UFA NCS Assistant Team Leader.
