In our newest development, West Slope, we have single rooms with ensuite bathrooms for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

West Slope overview

    Each bedroom contains:

    • a bed and mattress
    • a wardrobe and drawers
    • a desk with lamp and chair
    • bookshelves
    • blinds or curtains
    • a mirror.

    All kitchens include:

    • a cooker
    • a fridge freezer
    • a kettle
    • a toaster
    • a microwave.

    The accommodation fee includes:

    • utility bills (water, electricity and gas) and service charges
    • regular cleaning of common areas
    • (basic cover)
    • maintenance, management and campus security services.

    Main facilities:

    • social/dining/lounge space in each kitchen
    • on-site residence reception
    • on-site laundry facilities
    • Wi-Fi (as part of a University-wide service).

    All of our accommodation is self-catered.

Location

West Slope Phase 1 is made up of three areas:

  • Graffham House
  • Newick House
  • Saxby House.

Accommodation fees

Fees vary depending on the length of your accommodation contract:

  • Undergraduate room contracts run for 39 weeks from 19 September 2026-19 June 2027
  • Postgraduate room contracts run for 50 weeks from 19 September 2026-4 September 2027.

Construction work

The West Slope development is transforming our campus with new living, wellbeing and social spaces, with the first West Slope accommodation rooms available in September 2026.

Construction of additional West Slope accommodation and amenities will be ongoing throughout the academic year 2026-2027 and beyond. A small number of West Slope accommodation rooms will be adjacent to ongoing construction.

Construction hours are 8am-6pm Monday to Friday and 8am-1pm on Saturday. View our campus map to see where the main construction zone is located.
